Autumn is a time to reflect on the seeds we planted in Spring and what harvests we have reaped through the summer. As we pause to witness changes in the landscape around us, allowing the leaves to be our teachers as they surrender themselves, returning to the Earth for winter renewal, what do we no longer need? What are we opening toward?
Top 4 Reasons to Participate:
- You love the idea of full-on sensory immersion in nature, as the days grow shorter while we move toward winter.
- You want to feel better, to feel good, to feel refreshed and invigorated by nature.
- You know that nature immersion and mindfulness go together naturally, and want to learn core techniques to partner with nature as a teacher and a refuge.
- You want to re-ignite your love affair with the amazing, healing landscapes, habitats, forests, and waters of our beautiful world.
What is the Seven-Week Shinrin-yoku Forest Therapy Immersion?
Going on a single Shinrin-yoku walk introduces the method and its benefits. These benefits are cumulative; those who engage in this practice weekly for seven weeks feel them much more profoundly.
The "Seven Walks in Seven Weeks" immersion is a season-specific group experience of seven shinrin-yoku walks, exploring the joy of connecting to nature through our senses. We will use a palette of sensory/somatic activities to deepen our relationship with the world around us, and our understanding of the world within.
These walks, along with suggested home-based nature connection activities, will give you a solid grounding in the practice of shinrin-yoku. You will gain the skills and background needed to continue shinrin-yoku on your own.
